Captn Cook To Como

Hey all

Took the daughter out yesterday to get dinner.

Started off getting some bait (nippers) then put in at oatley around 8am, anchored up near the como bridge and started losing baits straight away but didnt get any keepers till about 11 when I got a nice little lizard at about 37cms. 10mins later I get a big hit and statrd the drag going, after a nice little fight I finally bring in a 39cm whiting. this was the fattest fish I have ever seen and pulled like a train was a good test for the 4lb mono I was using. Anyway the bite totally stopped so we went off to drift around Tom Ugly's for a few lost baits but no takes then off to Captn Cooks to try there as I have never fished there except from the pontoon.

We spent the next hour and half pulling in pinkies and called it a day at about 2pm.

Nice whiting, i was in one of the boats that slowed down and watched you reel it in, at least you had better luck than us, we tried the end of the runway, Ramsgate baths, and a few other places and came up with nothing, never mind there's always next week.
