Had a central coast interclub this morn so decided 2 fish brisbane waters. What a frustrating day it turned out 2 be, managed 6 bream from the racks only one legal at 26cm on sx-40s. Also got a fat mullet on a pearl blue bass minnow from under a boat. Was fighting for a minute when out of no where 2 solid jewfish came out and 1 absolutely whacked the mullet. Wish i had a live poddie. Alos got the weirdest fish ever and took it back the weigh in and it turned out 2 be a stargazer. Anyway some nice fish at the weigh in with a 4kg bonnie from copa rocks and also a 3kg king from copa. Heaps of bonnies and a fair few tailor as well.

Congrats Tyrone, those Jew would have been great to see.

Which racks did you get your fish on??

We fished Brisbane Water on Saturday. We tried every where from Woy Woy to half tide rocks and only managed a handful of smallish bream.

We tried the racks in Paddys right on dawn and I pulled a small bream first cast and thought we were going to be in for a great day, then the mozzies attacked. There were 1000s of the little buggers. We ended up having to move until teh sun got up a bit higher

Hey jethro it is a fairly hard waterway to fish but a good area is around blackwall mtn the houses have their wharves fish these and the usually always produce as well. Then the canals produce fish around st huberts. Its just bout location away from crowds.

Cheers Tyrone

The hardest thing we found was theer is so much water to cover and so many options. I'm sure most of teh places we fished will hold bream at some stage, when that is is anyones guess.

I will giv ethose places a try next time we are down that way. Thanks again

Hey jeff just fish them normally but it is a hard place 2 fish cos alot of the racks are surrounded by weed and are real shallow so youve got 2 find the racks wit deeper water. Try hardbodies like the sx-40 round the shallow racks. Yeah martin exactly what i thought they werent agressive like that may of had something to do with the weather.
