Fishing from the shore near the park, sooo many fish biting we had to go to the servo 3-4 times as we ran out of bait. Landed some nice fish, a PB whiting which was thick as. Good luck as being on a boat will be even better!

NeilF Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Gday Mate, I was up at Smith's last christmas for a week fishing out of the Skeeter. Caught plenty of Bream, Whiting and Flatchaps I mainly focused on lures using poppers and chubbies on the Bream and softies on the Flatties. There are plenty of nice weed flats for the surface work as well as nice rocky points around the shoreline and islands for working an sp or chubby. Just be careful of the fish sanctuary zones around the south western side, they signposted on the shoreline. You wouldn't break any records with the size of the fish but you will catch plenty, my best bream was 32 to the fork and flatty around 60cm. Hope this helps, Tight lines
