Have any of you been to Ningaloo Reef, which is near Exmouth in Western Australia.

If so, please tell what it is like?.

I want to go there ( Maybe even live in Exmouth for a few months - i could work in the hospital!).

Came across this website- almost became incontinent from the size of 'dem Bones!.

I would appreciate some feedback.

Cheers, :tease:

Hello Nonook,

There was a good write up in one of the monthly fishing mags a few months back. I can't remember if it was ***** Fishing or Fishing ***** however it may be worth seeing if you can track down a past issue.

Cheers

I have edited the above post.

There is something about those photos that don't look real for some reason, then again its probably just jealousy :biggrin2:

Dave,

They are not my photos- I took them from a website that guides that area, called True Blue Bones. It IS hard to believe the size of those Bones, because they are so massive. Oh god I would give anything to hook up one of those on fly!

I am seriously thinking of moving there for a few months maybe 6 months to Exmouth. Just have to convince my wife, which will mean "no".

Anyway, I will continue to dream of Ningaloo every nite.

Hey Nanook,

Ningaloo is one of the best places in Oz.

I travelled there for 3 months and lived on the beach.

Not only is the fishing spectacular, but the diving, and exploring is brilliant as well.

Check out the brag board and look at the GT, Red emperor, shark, tuna and the coronation trout.

These were all caught at Ningaloo. If i had the chance, i would definitley go back for longer.

Cheers

Gday... i know someone living in exmouth at the moment...was driving round oz and loved it too much to leave! He says the fishing is fantastic but when he last sms he said water temp only 18 degrees so sailfish run hadnt started yet...had to stick to massive reef fish the poor bastard! "Anything under a metre goes back" he lies! Top spot

One of the best fishing spots in Oz..

I am a West Ozzie and one of my school buddies works for fisheries in Exmouth - lets just say he gets into a few fish ....

Can PM you with more info if you like?
