Finally Went Fishing

it's been a very long time but I finally got out in the boat for a couple of hours in Middle Harbour today. Got aleave pass from moving activity to take out the father and brother of my eldest daughters best friend neither of who are fishos. Went to one of my reliable squid spots and got 2 in the first 2 casts. The young boy (10) had a smile a mile wide after pinning a good inker on a black YoZuri... First time I'd wet one that colour and it worked a treat.

Unfortunately the kings in middle harbour didn't cooperate on either live or stripped squid and in fact the sounder was blank all day, no bait schools... nothing. We only had about 1 1/2 hours so couldn't check out many spots but boy it was good to get out even for a little while and as always seeing kids catch fish is one of my life's great highlights.

Well done on getting out onto the water TOny!! That'll put a smile back on the dial ..... plus catching the squid!! I bet the boy was excited! Hope he didn't get inked!
