G'Day Raiders

Received a text from my daughter (hodgey.jnr) who resides on the outskirts of Caboolture, QLD. Message reads:

It rained for a squillion (sic) hours. It hailed. We had thunder and lightning and power has been off since 1600 yesterday. Will be back on about 1800 tonight. Downstairs is flooded as is Mum's room. Neighbour's car crushed by fallen tree. Neighbours fence is screwed (sic). Trees down all along the street. Mum and I were REALLY lucky.

Thankfully she and her mum have managed to avoid the brunt of the storm, although the contents of fridge and freezer are ruined. I hope other QLD Raiders are safe and well. I understand a storm of similar ferocity also struck Melbourne earlier.

Regards

Hodgey

OMG!! :1yikes: Just sent a message off to my sister up in the mountains behind Nambour to see how she & her family fared! Haven't heard from them yet, so assume all is well!!

Glad the family are fine Hodgey.

We got the edge of it here & that was pretty full on but thankfully we missed the full brunt of it.

I was watching the radar & it was a MASSIVE storm front & it's not even storm season yet.

Our thoughts go out to the many people who have been affected by this.

Cheers,

Grant.

My sister & her family are all well - lost power for a while & watched the massive 'light show' from the ranges! But mild, compared to what Brisbane got! :1yikes:

Hope everyone's friends & families weren't badly affected either! I really feel for the folk that were in the thick of it! It would have been horrific!
