Whiting On Squidgy

I was flicking lures off a south coast beach off NSW when I hooked a fish.

Only being hooked close to the shore I soon found that it was a whiting.

It wasn't a bad size either!! Is this normal behaviour of a whiting to eat a squidgy??

Could you please tell me??

I have caught many whitting on plastics, 2" worms kick ass!

Keep the plastic moving for more bites.

bloodworm wrigglers go alright to, i have actually caught some of my biggest on sand flats at night on larger lures... pays off to experiment a bit!

Plenty of whiting on sps Like Greg 2in worms and slow rolling 2in grubs can work as well
