Baitcaster

I'm not a huge fan of baitcasters but they have their place particularly with some aspects of lure fishing especially around snags where really accurate casting is required.

I have a Shimano Callisto up for sale in Swap & Sell, nice reel going cheap.

Low profile baitcsters have their niche in both freshand saltwater fishing. I use one for bass, yellas, and cod in freshwater, and flathead, EPs, Barra and jewfish in saltwater. Their restrictions pertain to finesse fishing. Casting lightweight lure on a baitcaster is difficult (if acheived at all)

A good 'entry level' baitaster is the Daiwa Excellor 100H or the Shimano Coriolis 100 GA. Once mastered, they are a great bit of gear to have in your arsenal :biggrin2:
