hook'm Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 (edited) Nice Jewie there. Bait or lure? And what system was it caught in? Cheers Josh It was caught on half a southern calamari head caught 6 weeks ago , waterway was middle harbour tide was about an hour after high. best tide to fish is a high or low where the difference between high and low is 1 metre or less e.g this weekend has 1.35 metres between tides so theres a fair bit of movement. This fish is the first jew for me since last december so a long time coming, but always worth the wait. Edited November 24, 2008 by Hook'm
southerly Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Nice jew Jason. I fished the front of the harbor for a few choppers and a couple of big southerns. David
King slayer Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I'm Jealous, I woke up this morning and thought...Yeah, perfect morning for a jewie! But as per normal I was off to work as you were reeling that baby in. I tried this afternoon but I think today the morning was the go.
Kiwi Dan Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Thats a screamer jase well done mate. That area has been doing great these past few weeks.
Dusky_Chaser Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Great stuff. Top photo too. Always look good fresh from the water. Nothing worse than a crusty old dead fish shot
