I was lucky enough to get some tickets to the premier last night in the city.

At first I thought that movie was going to be 'moulin rouge' style with the camera and graphics which I personally don't like.

But that didn't last long, phew :)

I must say the movie is awesome, shows the beautiful country side that we live in, the lovely aboriginal culture and people that we have with a nice story to back it up.

Go watch it :)

hi dave,i've been hearing about this movie for over a year now...been a long time coming.

will check it out sometime next week, definitely something to be seen on the big screen!

majority of the reviews have been pretty good,Hugh Jackman is my favourite aussie actor and i hear he's performance was excellent.

hmm...I hear the movie runs around 3 hours...better take my "relief bottle". :biggrin2:

Bring back intermission I say. 3hrs in those seats can be like torture. Might be worth the fancy big seats options for this film.

Ps I don't want to sit next to anyone with a "truckies mate"

he he...just kidding, though i did once see an old guy using one a few seats across from me [wasn't watching, just noticed] which gave me the idea to get one for my boat [$10 at the chemist and a lot better than a regular plastic bottle]...a bloody godsend in rough conditions! :biggrin2:

Hugh Jackman, never been a fan of him, but I must say he played his role so well!!!

Keith, Wendy & I saw it last night & really enjoyed it! The 3hrs included about 20 mins of adverts before the movie started! They could have just started it straight up & put the adverts in the middle for a pit stop! :)

I went, expecting it to be a bit of a dud, given all the criticism - so was pleasantly surprised, when we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure some of the bits appeared to be a tad 'over acted' but it was all within the character they were playing! Almost a bit 'Victorian' in a way - the wicked villain everyone grew to hate & the goodies win in the end! The kid is absolutely gorgeous!

I'd recommend anyone to see it for a ripping good yarn!

Cheerio

3 HOURS! at least you get value for money.

I can remember spewing one saturday night when I took my other half for a night out at the movies, thinking we would be occupied and entertained for at least a couple of hours, decide to see phonebox( I think thats what it was called) any way it was over in just over 1 hour - good movie but had to pay the same price to see that as Australia (3hrs). somehow that just didnt sit right with me, I walked out feeling a bit ripped off!
