Hi, i bought their Shad recently... im impressed by their swimming in comparison to the gulp shad, the tail on the Slams are much more lively. havent cought anything yet.

ive bought some 3 inch grubs but they seem a bit bulky for my sort of fishing . [estuary flats] im sure they will be ok for flathead but a bit bulky for bream and whiting ,though i could be proved wrong . also the speed you need to get up to to get the tail working is quite fast .

Me and a mate got a tinnie on Tuross lake two weeks ago. He was using Gulp minnows and I was using slams. Both of us were using the exact same retrieve method (double jump) and very similar colours. We had a great result, of 6 flatheads between 45 and 55 cm. We both got three each, with mine the biggest :biggrin2:

I reckon Gulp and Slam are much of a muchness

does anyone else find they spin a lot? i've only tried the jerk shads and i usually use a weighted jighead because i fish landbased, i need the distance. its rigged dead straight too. don't have the problem with gulp jerkshads though no matter how crooked its rigged.
