high_speed_metal Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Many people from here based in this area? Have been getting nice catches of flathead and whiting around gosford the od EP as well., Only really new to the area so have been spending all my weekends and arvos driving around finding new haunts... On the mission for a shore based Jew, (not beach). any other reports?
Josh88 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I fish there when at a mates holiday house, generally go out the boat and i don't know the area that well but i think if you can access the shore around Rip Bridge that would be worth a go, flatties, jewies, whiting, bream. May be a bit hard during the strong part of the tide though. Josh

I even climbed up under the bridge to throw a line hahaha... that was half way through the run-out.. hard fishing..

Welcome to the central coast, high speed metal. you will find a few fishraiders in the area, try searching some of the posts for info, though we have all been quiet for a while. I am not normally LB but try around the rail bridges at woy woy and gosford, apparetnyly they produce jews, I have only got one soapie at the rip from the boat but have not seriously targeted them yet. Will have to try and get out as they are supposed to be about. Good to see BW fishing is picking up. Cheers copafisher
captnstabbn Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 hi mate - by hi speed metal i wondered if you meant using 1/2 by quarters and seascapes or listening to slayer? my 2 cents worth would be to try under the punt bridge (erina ck) during / after some decent rainfall - they get under the lights there & it's easy to park & easy to fish. similarly the bridge on narara ck near west gosford maccas or the rail bridge at gosford (as copa said). seedy places to hang out on a wet night, but probably no worse than goin to iguanas..
