Hi addsy I owned the Qld made Jeeba Silverline 5000 in the 80's before I updated to a Yalta Daycab 189 - I should say I thought I was updating because the Silverline was more stable and the better estuary boat of the two whereas the Yalta, a powerboat of the year winner, was the better deep sea boat, and in my opinion because of their high deep V, the Yalta cut thru the swell better than most deep sea boats of their size but were not as stable at rest as the Silverline and a couple of other well known eighties boats.

I noticed a Silverline advertised for sale in the last few months or so in immaculate condition, and you could have bought it for around six thousand because of the drop in boat prices and the fact that not many boat buyers know much about Silverline.

The Silverline 5000 is well suited to the economical 70 hp motor they came with for a fibre glass boat of that size.

Eighties model Silverlines are still modern looking and for a 16 1/2 footer, have an excellent half cabin for shelter and make a very good fishing boat for a weekend on the water for their size.

Hope this helps

Cheers
