I am looking to go somewhere within an hour an will be driving from the Hills Area. NSW

Can anyone suggest somewhere with easy access that isn’t a pain to get to?

just under the roseville bridge is always productive. Park your car on the northern side of the river and walk along the edge casting as you go. Flatties and jews are quite common.

If you just want fun catching them, then the Parramatta River is productive (I just wouldn't eat anything I caught). You can get access right in Parramatta around the ferry wharf or there's lots of good shoreline down around Canada Bay.

If you want some cleaner water, then I second Roseville as a nice spot. You can park in the national park and there is a walking trail that follows up the river for several kilometers.
