novice Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 (edited) Hi all, This post is probably in the wrong spot, but I am hoping for some advice in a short amount of time. Going away for a "boy's weekend" away at St Hubert's island. Does anyone know of a decent ramp not too far away ???? Found one on the Island, but it looks really dodgy (Luderick Ave). I've got a 6.4m F/G boat, so I need something with a little depth. Any and all help is appreciated. Cheers, Taps. Edited December 1, 2008 by novice
chrisg Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Go back across the bride and use Woy Woy or Blackwall. You can see them on Google maps. 5 min drive. Cheers Chris
Boog's Boat Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Hi Novice, Use the Lions park boat ramp at Woy Woy, much safer and more people to deter theft, has sand or wharf take your pick. Things have been known to disappear from Blackwall Ramp. Nathan.

I've used Blackwall before with a smaller boat, but at times the low is "low"..... we'll see how it is. Cheers Taps.

Taps, have a look at Empire Bay, ramp is pretty deep but only 1 ramp, limited parking and the ferry comes in to the wharf there every so often. Its closer than WoyWoy though WW is probably the best bet for ramps, parking, beach, families etc. Give St Hu's ramp a miss, I only put my 4.8 in there once. If you want quckest access to sea try the sand ramp at Half Tide rocks if you have suitable vehicle and experience. Cheers, Steve
Sector9 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 St Huberts, keep going there for a few years, with global warming the bridge to St Huberts is going to be the best boat ramp on the central coast
