clutch
A mate called yesterday asking if I wanted to break the tinny out this morniing. Of course I was keen but at 6:00am this morn it was a steady light rain But did that deter us?..........No way Launched the tinny at 7:00 and headed in poor visibility to my usual pozzy about 300 metres off the beach. At this point it really started raining and we were both saturated.....and COLD Besides that the fish were on the bite and we caught ten snapper and a decent sting ray which I let go............but included in this total was this beauty Its larger than a local would expect from my neighbourhood so I'm still stoked May have to have a Of course when we got home the sun came out cheers Clutch

clutch
Thanks guys, Djmac its actually been a little hit and miss when venturing to the outer gulf from the reports I've been hearing. When I went out with a mate in his boat a couple of weeks ago we had a good day, then he went out the next week with another bloke and caught nil. And I've heard other reports similar We had a very wet and cool spring and everything seemed delayed Having said that I fish very close to home because I'm in a 10 ft tinny and I've been doing fine I should actually be out right now as I'm back at work tomorrow
Martin
Thats a dam nice snapper. Mate, with only 300m to travel and snapper like that you have your own little piece of fishing heaven. How do you cook your snapper?
clutch
Martin, I wish I were able to venture further afield but for now with my little tinny it aint too bad. Cooking the fish?.........well usually its just a quickeasy batter and fried. I'm very new to eating it. Missus will sometimes wrap in foil with herbs and spices for the barbie
