have you had it on the weigh bridge yet?

yes, was 920kg when originally weighed. stripped it down to basically a bare boat except for safety stuff etc and is 820kg. Still over. I'm in the process of getting to the bottom of this issue so that is why I want to hear from any Bermuda owners who may think there boat is under 750kg for an unbraked trailer, when in fact they could be over.

Was that including the 50-80kg on the towball or just the weight of the trailer wheels.

A few people have gone back to dealers and requested a braked trailer when it has been found they are overweight and most dealers have been accomodating when faced with the facts. I can't remember but it has been a subject at Boating Industry for a long time as some dealers use it as a way to cheapen the package.

Ask the manufacturer the weights and suggested trailer. If the manufacturer has made and error they may want to solve it for you.

Someone who can search better will find the last posts on this as I think it was a topic that had a few posts.

On towball weight was originally 840 kg, and now is 760kg, and that is after stripping a hell alot of stuff out. More than was necessary. The dealer I got the boat from, hasn't been of help and wants nothing to do with it.By the way, the dealer isn't Huey. Atleast with Huey, you get what you are supposed to get.

hi chopper75

i own a bermuda 450 island coral

i put it on a RTA weigh bridge un hooked from the ute wanted

to now if the boat was too heavy for the trailer. boat, motor, trailer, full tank of fuel and 50L water weighed in at 740 kg . rims and tyres were rated to 750kg each but the springs wer not strong enough snaped one

in half and the trailer builders dident put washers on the bolts that hold the coupling to the trailer so i pulled

the bolts through the tubing . made my heart race driving along and haveing brand new boat brake of

the coupling. thank god for the safty chain . i have now done some modifications to the trailer stronger axle

same rims as the 4wd and better guards , led lights an extendable drawbar and an all terain coupling now its all heavy duty and i done it my self so i now its done properly.
