Hey Guys

Went fishing today down near where the social was held, checked seabreeze and 15 to 20 knot it said but i was a bit optimistic and thought oh well just a light breeze, well I was wrong.

Got down there and wind howling and branches waving the wind. Rigged up my tierra outfit and started pelting SP's into the wind and up current looking for a flattie, gave it 45mins and thought na just cant get any distance from the shore.

Packed up round three and went home.

Can anyone tell me if there are any good land based spots that you know that are great for flatties, bream and the jewies. Browney has given me a spot near rosssvile, cheers mikey.

Cheers

Hi Kirkby From where you are there is no need to look for blue horizons or greener pastures, Narrabeen has got plenty of everything. Fishing regularly in Narrabeen Lake will give you a good opportunity to test out your sp/s, poppers and harbodies on just about every estuary species you can think of. Whereas over the road at North Narrabeen beach will give you the chance to imptove your beach fishing skills. Run your big baits on the area's jewfish and the good variety of sharks, you'll start to catch will improve your playing skills. Look for a late afternoon high tide on a gloomy day, particularly a humid cloudy one at this time of year and fish an hour before the top of the tide and a couple of hours or so into the run out and just concentrate on the Narrabeen area for a while until you start to get good results.

Hey Byron

Thanks for replying to my post, is the entrance near the lake good for jews after rain, I have hear Luderick59 has had some success from here.

The Mallacoota Pete (sorry if I get the spelling wrong) has given me some spots to try. Thanks.

Cheers

Steve

Kikby I don't think you can go wrong getting advice on Narrabeen from the two Petes, Mallacoota Pete and Luderick59. Is Narrabeen or Palm Beach wharf closer to you?

cheers
