zephyr
Hi all, just a new member after some info on a problem with my latest boat. It's a Zephyr Express aluminium cuddy with a 45hp Honda on the back. The problem is that it tilts to Port when underway. The more knots, the more it tilts. This has been extenuated since I mounted a 6hp Honda auxiliary on the Port side to the extent that it is hard to stand at the helm underway. I thought of trim tabs as a cure but the cost is prohibitive.

Hi Zephyr, you could try mounting your aux on the starboard side, logical really as you'll balance the boat tilt angle out, or you will have to get trim tabs. I have a 6.4m Cabin with an inboard with all the steering controls on the starboard side, and it pulls to starboard. So now with hydraulic trim tabs I can balance the boat out when underway, also helps when I've got people onboard and when there is a strong wind blowing. Goodluck mate. Tobe Ta muchly, it looks like I"ll have to save some pennies for a set of trim tabs. Tight lines, Zephyr.
