Kirks
Hey Guys I am looking to get some fins braid to load up on Saltist 50. Is there any PROS and CONS for this braid. It will be used for a range of things, from jewies from boats and bottom bashing mainly. Cheers Steve
Sammy0884
Pro's: Very Durable, High knot strength, Relatively cheap, High breaking strain. long lasting. limp. Con's: Thicker than the newer braids for its breaking strain. Some colour fade.
Josh88
Its probably my 2nd favourite braid behind the daiwa braid i've now got, most braids experience colour fading and thats not a sign of weakness, a lot of braids are the same colour underneath and just coated in yellow, green, pink or grey on top. Fins like Tufline can fray around knots a little bit but nothing too much to worry about, if you think its too serious just put a bead in front or over the knot. huntman
I've been using fins for a couple of months and i love it. Only one wind knot so far, and that was when a friend of mine who doesn't fish was left casting it unattended.
jewgaffer
Hi Kirkby All of the best selling braids are basically the same, it's just that some have more finesse than others. You would be better off saying you want out of a brand, if that's all that necessary . Cheers jewgaffer
