slinkymalinky
Anyone who knows me knows I like chasing squiddlies. Does anyone know any reliable locations on the Gold Coast. It's a different landscape up there to my old stomping grounds and I'm guessing that around bridges or over weedbeds might be the go... any tips from a local? Cheers, Slinky

Cheers, Slinky Tony, the two creeks, Currumban and Talebudgera are the key to your live bait for a lower Gold Coast or a Tweed River night session, use a three metre c/net off the bridge on the southern side along the shallow section and you'll have your bait in no time and you'll find squid among them. The bridges generally get crowded with bait fishermen on weekends, and the pylons on the north side are often shoulder to shoulder with fishermen at holiday time as both bridges fish very well for Mangrove Jack.
