Hi all..

I am heading down to the Crookhaven for the next week or so and would like to know what channel I need to use whilst checking in with the Coastguard as I head offshore to the Banks...(27 mhz)

Shoalhaven Marine Rescue Rescue (Website here) is the volunteer group that you want to contact. Awesome group - if you're down there with any possibility of regularity, it would be worth joining.

Contact them on channel 90 (or 88). VMR Shoalhaven is their call sign. If you aren't a member - be prepared to give car rego, mobile, boat rego etc so they can track you down if something goes wrong (like you don't return).
