Moonshine
Hi guys, newly registered to the forum. Was going to fish the waverider buoy of Sydney yesterday but when we arrived at the usual coordinates it was missing. After half an hour we gave up. (There were three more boats out there doing the same thing) Was it us beeing blind or has it gone missing ? Does anyone know if the North Sydney FAD is in position before heading out there? Ended up fishing Long Reef (Few Nannis and Flathead). Also had a good strike off Dee Why on the troll back but lost it after 5 minutes. fishmaniac
The waverider bouy is currently being serviced. It was out for a couple of weeks then came back on for 3 days or so, now it must have another prob. I visit the MHL site and when its not displaying data, there is something wrong, ie, it is being serviced or it has broken its mooring. Hope this helps http://mhl.nsw.gov.au/htbin/wave_data_plot...Location=Sydney If you visit the site, you will see it is not currently displaying any recorded data
Moonshine
Thanks. Checked the website, as you said no wave heights recorded. Sea temperature is recorded though ? Is this measured somewhere else ? Lets hope it will be back soon. Does anyone know if the FAD (Sydney North) is in place ? Cheers
