Narralakes
G'day Raiders, it was a very tough day's fishing for me today, we went to the Pittwater and only scored a king and this amberjack in the picture, sorry I whited out the background, I promised the guy we went with that Spot X would stay a secret. This is the first amberjack Iv'e seen, it was caught by my mate Jonathan (as was the king) and boy, did it put up a tussle. It was a top fish, pity it wasnt on my line, although as Jono was reeling it in it had a mate with it following it along. Scored a few squid today, at least that way I caught something. downriggen dan
If you are refering to Peter Le Blang from Pittwater Hrbour and estuary tours I can recomend him highly. Peter is the kingie man and pulls kings from pittwater all throughout the year, pretty dam good down the river as well.

Narralakes
G'day Raiders, thanks for the feedback, even though it wasnt a great fishing day on my part, it is good to read all your replies which I enjoy very much. Trouble and Dan, Peter is a top bloke and the gun guide in the Pittwater and surrounds, I highly recommend him, its my 2nd time out with him and I hope there are plenty more. He is very knowledgable and is keen to show you a new rig/technique or two if you ask. Plus, compare the charter fees and you know your'e getting your money's worth. Ken, I was going to do a complete white out, but wanted some colour left in the pic, I new someone would pic out the ripples. Andrew, Jonathan caught the fish on a live squid, the other amberjack that followed it hung around for awhile during the tussle but when I threw a shaggy dog at it I was a bit late, it was gone b4 I could drop it in the water. What flies are you using to catch the amberjack? Was it when you scored well in Middle Harbour that time on candies? Lure, I heard they are related to kings, but someone more knowledgable with fish could verify. Apparently cobias are related as well and are called "black kings". cheers
