thought that counts

i dont care if i dont get one present im just looking forward to the day

I would care if I didn't get 1 present, but the thing I'm most looking forward to is seeing my 3yr old girl enjoy the day. This is the first year she has understood santa and what s actually going on, I can't wait.

Yep, likewise. I have a 4 year old son and a 7 year daughter who are literally bouncing off the walls waiting for the big day :yahoo: Even the big kids in QLD will phone on the day to share in the little ones' excitement!

Cheers

People often tell me that I'm "difficult" to buy a present for when the truth is that as a fisherman I'm the easiest person in the world. We all are!!

A packet of sinkers is still a good present in my view - it's practical and you know I'll get use and enjoyment from it. Hell - they could buy me a lure that I already own three of and I'll still be stoked since everyone needs backup lures in their favourite colour.

Fishermen are easy targets for Chrissie presents - I'll even bet the fellow who gets the gay pink gift that Stevefish was talking about ends up being happy with it.

An ex girlfriend of mine many years ago had a VERY rich grandfather. Every year he would give them the same presents, for her two brothers a pair of nail clippers & she got a jar of moisturiser.

Can't wait for the day too, my sons are now 5 & 2, they keep seeing santa in the sky, must be my old eyes but as hard as I look I always miss him.

My wife loves to get the kids extra hyped by ringing some bells about midnight then going in & seeing if the kids woke up & heard them. They have every year so far...... I can't remember that far back but I guess I used to get so excited as a kid on Christmas Eve. Great time of year. Kids, Big Smiles & squeals of delight, food, drink, family, friends and oh yea, some drink.

If that pink thing is a squid jig I bet he will be stoked!!
