jewgaffer Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Hi looking4lizard For your whiting use no4 or no6 baitholder hooks or no2 wide gapes. Larger Whiting can get too much leverage when using the long shank hooks. Also 4lb mono is best as whiting are very sensitve and it's best to let them take up the slack by using mono if your fishing with bait.
