kikila
Started off over at the hot water outlet the place was alive with yakkas you couldn’t get a bait past them so headed off over to the sticks where there was a load of boats fishing so we anchored in amongst them and got our baits out over the next hour we only got 2 tiny snapper but we saw several boats pull in some quality bream maybe we weren’t holding our mouths right . Seeing as there was no tanker on the cans we went over there for a go. We set a live bait just off the bottom and cast out our baits, interspersed among the little snapper we were able to catch a couple of bream to 32cm a flatty of 45 a good sized flounder and a lone blurter. We got the heads up that a tanker coming in so we went over to Bonna point for a flatty spin before the southerly kicked in we caught 4 lizards keeping 2 of the better ones 47 & 45cm letting the two 40cm types go there was a good school of tailor working and we had some good fun on the keeping 5 of 20 odd tailor we caught the fish ranged from 25 to 35cm. The southerly came howling in at about 11am that pretty much ended the day, with 12 fish to take home not a bad day all up.

kikila
G/Day Adam Pity about your boat mate I would hate to part with mine . I love to nip out and fish the washes, troll around, chuck lures at surface feeding fish when conditions are right but my old regular fishing buddy of 25 years has moved up north to live:depression: and the blokes that go fishing with me while they are good blokes they are boating novices and one of them is shit scared of fishing outside unless its on 10 meter plus gamefisher . I’ve had the nearly had the boat capsized when one bloke across the boat while at speed and another go for a swim in sloppy conditions:blink: . I don’t fish alone if I can help it because I have a heart condition. Edited March 3, 2005 by kikila
