rmzbeast Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) Hi Raiders My bro and best mate and i hit the water around five Saturday morning at Tunks Park we headed out to the Spit to meet a few lads that had spent the night moored and then made our way into the harbour. The water was alive with fish so we deceided to throw a few lures out to hope fully catch a few. After a minute or two my brother was on and landed a decent Sambo. This was the start of a action packed day. All up we landed around 20 on my boat (lost just as many) and 10 or so on our mates.Around 930am we headed off for home happy. :yahoo Edited January 11, 2009 by rmzbeast
jewgaffer Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Hi rmzbeast! That's a good haul of Salmon mate!.........they give plenty of action on the light weight rods........ Did they stay around or keep on disappearing and bobbing up somewhere else and did you have a lot of chasing to do?.... The last Hawkesbury jew session I had with Gary Brickman, we spotted a lot of bird movement in Broken Bay......big salmon were breaking up on the surface everywhere and diving and rising every 100 metres or so ...... We couldn't even get any interest from the scouts wide of the school...... Even the birds gave up in the end and just sat idle on the water, after having followed the salmon which were rising all over the place........ They were not feeding, they were just doing their breeding bit and the birds did not pick up anything at any stage. Cheers jewgaffer
