Lasty
What's the difference between 27 MHz radios and UHF CB radios? Can you get the same channels on both radios or are they different frequencies?
Flightmanager
They are totally different radios , and do not share any common frequencies . They transmit and recieve signals differently , typically , UHF will give you greater range . Ross
Bar Up
UHF is generally a land type radio. Was your question maybe directed to the difference between 27 Meg & VHF radios?

G'day Lasty , There is no such animal !! Radio types are identified by the frequencies that they can transmit / receive on. These frequencies are : MF ( Medium Frequency) 300 - 3000 kHz HF ( High Frequency) 3 - 30 MHz VHF ( Very High Frequency) 30-300MHz UHF ( Ultra High Frequency) 300MHz upwards. Marine radio equipment operates mostly in the MF, HF and VHF bands . Therefore , a 27Meg radio CANNOT receive a UHF signal. Ross
