jenno64
Hit the Georges this morning at 6:30am to fish the run out but my usual haunt had only a couple of feet of weedy water so I sought out a nice drop-off further down river and within an hour had four flatties and a bream. All fish came from a small area that dropped from 4' to 9' and each time I passed, I hooked up. Biggest flatty went 56cm and I released about half a dozen juveniles. Will keep this spot in mind for a last of the run out bash in the future. Tried some live poddies to no avail. Headed back as the stinkies tortured my serenity. Who said SX40s can catch anything? They can as I hooked a live prawn on one then scored a bream with it when I threw it unweighted under a jetty.
jewgaffer
Nice Georges River flathead session Jenno64 Some good take home fish there considering that the fillets are about thirty five bucks a kilo. I can't wait to have a go at the bream along the private jetties using these SX40's, failing that I wouldn't mind catching a bucket full of that prawn you caught on your one Well done mate. Hodgey
Another great session Jenno. You're gonna have to get a 2-seater kayak soon, so you have more room for your fish! Great stuff mate Hodgey

A.dawg
was scooping some poddies in the georges yesterday and caught some prawns mistaken as poddies Never have netted prawn before never seen a live prawn infact got a handful and livebaited one for a nice occy and my brother a bustoff by what was thought to be a very nice bream or sumfing like that came close to spooling him before he gained a few metres and got cut off a bridge pylon at captain cook But the georges is firing up
