Starman
Hi Raiders, Hit Botany at 6.00am this morning along with 200 other fisho's with my Son to try and get him his first Kingie. Anchored at the third runway and started a burley trail and within minutes both rods were buckled under the boat. Only rats but this continued for a while. All up caught and released about eight Kings much to my Sons delight. At the turn of the tide my Son's rod buckles over and his on his first keeper Kingie. (76cm's) Hi fives all round. Headed back to the ramp only to find Cars, trailers, jetskis you name it all waiting to get in or out Never seen it so busy. Nice day to be out though. Sorry Guys only new at this. Took photos with my phone. Try to post pictures soon. Regards, Gabe. Edited January 18, 2009 by Starman
DarkHorse
Excellent day all round Gabe well done! It is great to see the smile on your childs face when they catch fish, priceless. Where did you launch from? I am thinking of heading out tomorrow to chase Bream and Flatty's on nippers, soft plastics and lures. Look forward to seeing the pics Regards, Rob

Good way for you to introduce yourself and the young bloke to us and he might like to join up as well if he hasn't done so already.......... I like the part where you mention started a burley trail and getting kingfish around you within minutes, too many peple overlook the importance of using burley and it seems to be that the decent fish come on at the turn of the tides, and this is a good time to only burley the bottom. Well done Gabe! Cheers jewgaffer
