Sammy0884
Hi Mate, If you are looking for 'cheaper' reels then look at something from Okuma, they are well built, cheap and come with a lifetime warranty. i have used a number of models and have been very satisfied. Cheers Sam
Jewhunter
Like all cheap reels there is a chance that they will fail you when you least need it. You get what you pay for. If your local keeps pushing them to you then maybe they are only allowed to stock budget tackle or your budget for your tackle is a bit low. Stick to the reputable brands & they will serve you well. Hope this helps. Cheers, Grant.

sniper
some of the cheap viva reels are good like the old PT andCT range cheap and you cant kill them then you go to the high price range thier absolute CRAP ive used the baitrunners they dont even last one fishing trip
slinkymalinky
Like the guys have said, stick to known reputable brands. Companies like Okuma, Penn, Shakespeare, Pfleuger have reputations to protect so even at the bottom end of their ranges they can't afford to produce crap. Cheers, Slinky
