andrewau
30kg and up to 1.5meters long not a wild king, but would still be a beast to stop and the babies after 1 year weight 1.5kg and then after 18 months they weigh 4kg fast grow rate Edited January 24, 2009 by andrewau
Josh88
That is very fast, going by that i'd say that by late autumn a lot of the rats will be legal sized fish and then come next spring/summer there should be some pretty could fish in the harbour given the number of rats that have been present throughout the summer. Its a fast growth rate but i think that dollies grow even faster as they only live for around about 12 months and you think that you see fish upwards of 20kg, that is pretty remarkable i think. Hi Josh, your right about dollies having a faster growth rate than kingys infact I heard dollies are the fastest growing fish in the ocean. They grow to about 10kg in the first year and they grow in excess of 40kg, imagine catching one that big. Mike
