Kirkby,

Got the 2 piece 2-4kg T-Curve. I have mine balanced with a Shimano twinpower 1000, nice light setup.

Also have the Daiwa Advantage Reel - 2000 and Advantage Rod. You wont be dissapointed with the Sol reel it is a very smooth reel if the advantage is any thing to go buy.

Anyhow, I think you will like the T-curve.

Pro's:

Light

Fast tip

short butt - easy to hold and cast

2 piece - easy to transport in car thus minimizing damage

comes with nylon type rod bag

Con's:

2-4kg is to heavy for very light soft plastics, was getting ALOT of wind knots and line breakages trying to cast light soft plastics.

where the pieces join, the rod is NOT epoxied, about 5cm of "raw" graphite?. Don't know why but they were All like that where I purchased mine from.

the theory behind it is that it does not matter how slimly and wet your hands get you can still collaps the rod that is the reason for the ruff bit in the rod

steve i saw the new tcurve flight acouple of days ago and it is very nice (cant remember wat model)

Just a quick note, my T-Curve is the older, previous model. Also had a look on the Shimano website and the NEW T-Curve looks sweet.

Always the way, I buy something and a week later the new improved model is out :1badmood:

Suppose that is why they were reduced to clear last seasons stock to make way for the new models.

Let us know how you go. Happy Buying!

Regards,

Rob
