Hey Guys i recently sold my boat and am heading to a more estaury/river/newy harbour fishing boat and have been focussed on getting a Quintrex Hornet, preferably with a console. I stumbled acrosss a Bermuda 430 Mangrove Pro on BoatPoint.com and am close to giving it the thumbs up but am unsure on whether it would handle the same/as good as the Quintrex Hornets due to a few differences in Bow shape. If anybody who is more clued up on this topic then i am wants to give me some peace of mind or personal opinions about Bermudas that'd be great. If you can source a pic of a hornet of similar size and compare it to the pics of these Bermuda Mangrove Pro's online and give me some feedback that's be tops. Also, as i am newish to attatching Minn Kotas to boats, would one easily be fitted to this one.

Anyone who owns or has owned a Bermuda and wants to throw an opinion at me, shoot.

Cheers, Youngy

P.S ANY info on Mariner 50Hp Four Strokes?? I have always had yamaha. All good?

Youngy speak with Huey at Huett marine, he used to sell bermuda and knows them well. Some were made by Telwater (Stacer/Quintrex) and others were made by Allycraft. I imagine the easist way to tell an Allycraft model is the bottom hull will be out of the same shape sheeting as the side of the hull (clinker i think they call it)

Hi, no that Bermuda is basically just a vee nose punt, not like the Quintrex and Stacer hull shape that offers such a good ride. As Jim said it will be built by Allycraft is my guess and the fact that the bottom sheets are the same pressing as the side, which is not ideal, is the dead give away of who built it.

A comparision is the Stacer Proline Angler or the Quintrex Explorer Trophy range with a console added.

The Mariner is no better or worse than any other 4-Stroke and if it has been mainatined properly and is rigged and proped right you will get good service from it. I would wnat to see service history with ideal the oil and filter replced every 50 hours and then I would take it for a spin and make sure she is reaching about 5800RPM at WOT.

What do they want for it?

Cheers,

Huey.
