Cheers Steve Steve, I'm tiring to sell a 10ft Bream rod - damn thing cost me small fortune on an impulse buy when I was trying to target black fish before summer. Very whippy 2-4kg Australia made custom built rod "Mag Bream". See post in Swap and sell Probably a good option if you are land-base. Josh88
Steve all are good quality reels, if you're just using it for bream/flatties and not pelagics then the lower gear ratio in the daiwa's might be good. I own a Sustain, and a new Twin Power 10000 (not exactly a bream reel but know its quality) and i've used a few SOL's. I'd say the sustain is probably the nicest out of all of them but i do really like both others, in the smaller reel sizes i don't think the twin power is worth the extra money over the sustain. If you've got the money for a Luvias then go for it, have a chat to Slinky, I think he has one. Maybe consider the Shimano Aspire as well if you're happy paying extra, but figure out your budget and exactly what you'll use the reel on then see which fits your requirements best. WANNAFISH
Luvias will be the go. Possibly the 2000 size and will be plenty if your gonna chuck plastics for bigger flatties . But if you want and an all rounder I would go with the 2500r version Luvias good enough to chase those rats around. But as Josh88 said Aspire will be the smoothest out of all of them. slinkymalinky
As has been said, any of them will do the job wonderfully... You wouldn't be disappoints with any on the list or as Josh said, the Aspire is also a good option. He's right that I'd choose the Luvias... It weighs next to nothing and my 2000 is like fishing with air. It's a personal thing in the end and if you finally decided to pick the one you think looks sexiest, it wouldn't be a bad thing. Bream Mad
i have got a luvias 2004 (JDM) and just love it , the feel and the fact it only weighs 185gram!! saying that i also like the shimanos, have got a new stradic and it is awesome as well, slightly more solid , fluid feel, but heavier than the Daiwa. one note is that generally for the same size reels the Daiwa's have bigger diameter spools which means they cast better, less windy's. to be honest i am looking for a back up to the luvias and at the moment the saros 1000 has my money, light at only 190 grams and less than $200 with enough bearings to please kael
