yellow submarine Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Recently went to the states and brought this puppy back with me. I do alot of kayak fishing and need a way to better organise my tackle when on the water. The front pockets open up at 90 degrees. provising little platforms. they also include little racks of foam so you can put flys and jigheads in there. There are about 15 pockets as well as a back back and 2 litre bladder. 2 water proof sections and rod holders. In my kayak i always found myslef with stuff every where and tables galore, especially when fly fishing. But this turned it into a real pleasure. A bit expensive considering the exchange rate but i wouldn't swap it for the world. Fishpond
arpie Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Very nice looking, but a savage price, as you say! I bet you will get your use out of it tho! Is it a pfd as well? Cheerio Roberta
yellow submarine Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Unfortunately not. Being designed for fly fishers with wading in mind i think.
Sandini Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Hi Guys Anyone looking for an alternate in OZ, should check out the Plano version. Is $80, but since buying it to use in the yak, have found it to be worth every penny. Two fishing mates have also picked them up and are now fans. Are in stock at the three letters shop, but try your local tackle shop as well, as they can call Plano who have them available. Only has storage, no water area or pfd, which I have found OK, because with so many pockets, you almost buckle at the knees when fully loaded. Even when seated, you can unclip the sides, spin around to access the rear storage. Worth the money. Sandini
