G'Day Crew,

I finally go the chance to replace my damaged Loomis with a new GL3 1-3kg ultra light rod.

Being VERY careful with it all afternoon, tonight I picked it up and the tip JUST touched the ceiling............ :ranting2:

Being overly cautious and extremely freaked out I looked at the tip to see if I had damaged it. I noticed a small mark just down from the tip/guide. It appears that the epoxy resin MAY have cracked slightly. It is very small mind you. :1yikes:

What do I do? Take it back and possibly get an exchange for another one, wait until I fish with it and see what happens, if it breaks pay another $150 and get it replaced under the Loomis expediter warranty or buy some rod fixing/making epoxy and put a small dab over the mark?

I have never used the epoxy before, never "repaired" a rod before, any special procedures?

Also where is the best place to buy the epoxy? I assume there are different levels of quality?

Thanks again, you are all a wealth of info and your replies are greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Rob
