capo dei capi Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 hey fishraiders,,, left sydney yesturday avo at about 3-30pm on a mission to get 2 the warm waters near swansea, we left slightly demorilised due to the weather but nonetheless we carried on. We were blessed no wind or rain just a few clouds... only one problem...NO FISH we were gettin bites all night but they were ridiculously small and we tried everything including freshprawns frozen prawns chicken skirt pilchards squid bread... but all to no avail.. anyone have any ideas of why not cause this spot usually produces a good number of fish
kris Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 im guessing the tides being bigger then usual this week. (full moon) current my be a little strong not to sure.. gooood luck next time and dont give up happy fishing
diver1 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 the lake (lake macquarie) has been unbelievebly quiet as well mate, no one seems to know why.
Sandini Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Fished the drop offs at Swansee, early Sunday in the yak and ended up using the poppers over shallow water for a few small whiting. The water was cold, 17-18 degrees which usually sends all the fish looking for warmer water. Very average fishing over the whole weekend. Sandini
