Ken A
After 3 months of really lousy fishing at last I got a couple fish I went around for a throw at Monash Street on the runout tide this afternoon. The current was running pretty hard with a 2.8 meter tide going out so I fished a few of the weed beds & drop offs on the channel edges. I managed to get 3 fish before I had to leave. A Flathead of 53cm, a smaller Flatty of 45cm & a 32cm Bream. All fish were taken on an old favorite the Ecogear Grass Minnow 2.5 in pumpkin / smoke. I kept the large Flathead & released the rest. Not a great bag by any means but after the extremely poor fishing since Xmas it was bloody nice to score again.
