tide'n'knots
fished the harbour today - the wind would blow a dog from its chain, the swell was rolling through the heads up into middle harbour and to top it off it rained on and off - sensational!!! I had planned a bream trip to a location that i thought would fire but got talked into fishing the harbour instead. Our livie spot had waves large enough to roll the titanic and no self respecting squid would show its face in all the usual spots, so after trying at least 6 or 7 other spots for yakkas we finally just gave up and fished with frozen squid!! between two of us we ended up with a just legal snapper, a bream a big leatherjacket and a very decent blue swimmer crab, so all was not lost, in terms of fish caught I have had worse days but in terms of weather it couldnt get much worse and still be fishable. Hodgey
Well worth enduring some pretty lousy conditions Pete. That is a good sandy, and those three fish will provide for a very sweet feed indeed. Well done Hodgey

tide'n'knots
G'day mate, What was the water temp in the harbour like? cheers not sure of the water temp but I washed my hands a couple of times and it felt reasonably warm. At least you got a couple of fish and a crab Pete. What was the water like in Middle Harbour?? Cheers jewgaffer hi byron, the water was not as clean as it usually is but that probably has a lot to do with the conditions. A fair bit of rain over the last couple of days and there was a fairly decent swell pumping into middle harbour and only eased off over near balmoral, as for temperature I am not sure but it didnt feel very cold to touch. Are you thinking jew at the heads on a run out tide when conditions settle??? Pete.
