Port Kembla

Hey Raiders,

Went for a quick fish this morning down in the northern breakwall in Port Kembla, with a fellow raider Vu. Not sure of his raider login name.

Got there a 6am and the fisrt cast on pillie vu caught a nice Bonito around the 45-60 mark. He did'nt wont to be photoed.

I got my first sambo about hour later but dropped it.

There was alot of surface action as the macs were casing bait fish all along the breakwall. Some people were catching them on metal lures.

Spun a bit and caught myself a nice sambo. . and home we went beacause the rain was caming.

nice sambo lala sounds like a good session i hate it when you can see the fish but not hook into them

the area you were fishing is a good spot for a night time jew

Sounds like a great session, and from the size of your grin it looks like you were enjoying yourself! I'm not surprised; that's a nice sized sambo

Nice catch there mate, did'nt realised the northside breakwall is open, last time I went there I end up at the southern side. Is it really open or you just walk from the outside street? Just asking, I want to try again the spot. Thanks.

Littledinghy mate the northern side has been open for awhile now. You just drive in park the car and walk down to the breakwall.

I'll propably be down there again this saturday due to friends see this post and wanting to catch afew sambos and bons.

Where abouts do u actually stand to fish. the last time i went there i made a mistake and walked all the way out and my line kept getting caught on the submarine cables.

steze as you walk in through the gates i walk down about 100mtrs down. where there is something that has a fence thing around it. You'll know what i mean when you go there. Good luck.

the gates close at 7pm, so anytime after u have to park all the way outside, crawl under a fence, pass another fence and walk abt 30-45 mins

its a pain! not so packed anymore thats one good thing to come out of it..
