Red Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 G'day Raiders, Had plans to take the family down to Kiama for lunch yesterday to meet up with a couple of raiders and their families, so the session had to be brief. Got to the chosen spot in Middle Harbour and the first bait went in at 6am. Nothing happened till 6:30 when we were greeted by a solid 75cm flathead. We went on to catch another 3 flatties of 73cm, 79cm and 85cm in a matter of minutes. It was crazy! The two largest were released as they looked to be carrying a hefty load of eggs Things went quiet for a few minutes and then bang, something with more power was peeling line. After a brief tussle, a 10kg (106cm) jew meets the gaff. Pulled the pin at 7:30am and was back home by 8:30 Cleaned the fish, rinsed the boat and drove the family to Kiama with a smile. If only every day was like this. Had some jew for dinner this evening, shallow fried with Tandaco seasoning......yumm. The kids ate like athletes. Cheers Red

nova Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 TOP STUFF Tandaco jew with your favourite does not get any better than that.
Red Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Cheers guys. Good to see a few Tandaco fans on the forum . Don't normally get excited about flatties however these ones were quality and they just kept on coming. No photos were taken, as my "no cameras onboard" policy still stands. They are worse than bananas Was planning to take pics at home however was beaten by time. Cheers Red
outdoordan Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 What a top effort on some outstanding fish Its sessions like that, that make the quiet days insignificant. How do you do it.. Go fishing, keep the family happy and provide a mouth watering feed, and all in one day... Your bloody'Super Dad' Cheers
slabslinger Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 What is Tandaco Seasoning and where can I get some?
joel99 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Great session, if only all could be that productive!
