slinkymalinky Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I'm finally getting organised in the new Gold Coast home... here's a couple of pics of my rod room Rod rack in place... very good New wall rack for longer rods... very good Ceiling fan in rod room... bad Newly applied grooves in 10' Silstar TraverseX 10-15kg spin rod... very, very, very bad Note to self... no matter how long you've been into fishing there is no way of being careful enough to avoid... THE FAN!! From now on it's switched off EVERY time I move a rod. Keep your eyes open for a post involving a Silstar TraverseX exploding while connected to a good Tweed jewfish... coming to a post near you Cheers, Slinky
cat-as-trophy Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Nice "Office" Tony, glad to see the copier is all connected and ready to go.............. The fans can get in the way a bit, you aren't the first and probably won't be the last to that sort of thing. Can't wait for the next lot of notches. Cheers Mrs Flightmanager
joel99 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Nice one! Ceiling fans are a horror, lucky your rod was a bit heavy. Last week my mate put his brand new rod straight into a full force fan when he got home
copafisher Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Love your idea slinky (tackle Room/office) - wonder what the tax man would think ? Note to self... dont install a fan in the office, I think aircon would be worth the investment
Hodgey Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Could have been worse Tony ... like ending up with two 5' Silstar TraverseX 10-15kg spin rods Looks like the office is coming along fine mate. Nice collection of rods by the way! Cheers Skip
aussie big bob Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Slinky You have just saved me from making the same mistake. I will now be fitting an air con to my tackle room cheers bob
daleyboy Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Love your idea slinky (tackle Room/office) - wonder what the tax man would think ? Hmmmm ... what if they were just ornaments, decorating your office???
