Ha S£$%T that dont sound so good big flies no fish ???not too phased about a bar if the was one launch my boat in south Africa from the beach all the time in big surf ,so the bar should not be anything new.But concerned about the lack of fishing news, down that end of the world.
slinkymalinky Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 G'day Megabite, Fishing in Moreton Bay is very good... I don't know it well but there are plenty of options. Reefs and islands where you'll get Flathead, Whiting, Bream, Snapper... pelagics in the outer bay including long tail tuna, mack tuna, mackerel... even big meter+ threadfin salmon in the lower brisbane river... mangrove jacks in the river itself... etc, etc. Plenty to keep you entertained. Cheers, Slinky
adjustedpete Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 dont worry Megabite, you will like it up there if you love fishin. As slinky said there is plenty of action There is morton island, stradbroke islands, jumping pin, gold coast, plenty of reef and wrecks I think you will be spoilt for choise. Only 1 hicup, everyone owns a boat and the ramps can be a nightmare on the weekends
