terryjbsmartin Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Hi Guys and Girls can any body assist with some actual locations (GPS Marks) in Botany Bay for bait collection. Went out yesterday it was too rough to remain outside for long, picked up one snapper one trvellay and a very nice Flathead (56 cms). Drifted inside near the drums and weed on the south side for a couple of hours and picked up seven flounder. Would like to know more about bait collection and hot spots in the Bay. Love this site and the interaction and mutual respect that sports like fishing and boating can create between complete strangers, well done stay safe.
outfishes Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 check this out it might help- http://www.marinews.com/fishing_details.php?recordid=372 alot of people tend to get their bait on the eastern side of port botany about 50-100m off the beach. good spot for yellowtail and occasionally squid.
