luderick59 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 a mate took me to a new spot this morning for bream and drummer so armed with my 650 alvey and 6wrap rod heaps of bread headed out to rock platform at 5.30 am after2hrs mate had 1 big bream and 1 drummer both about 1kg all i could hook was the bottom lost about 15 hooks and just as much sheet lead mate said he had seen blackies caught near the corner of this platform so whacked on a float on 20lb mono with a6lb trace the alvey felt so heavy compared to bblackie gear fist cast i got a down and a good size fish for the next hour managed 8 solid fish 1 after the other then they went off the bite turned out to be a good morning after all peter
