gday all, i fished swansea channel 2day and there were whiting everywere real big elbow slapper ones! i tried with plastics and was bouncen them right in front of there noses but they wouldnt take any, the only bait i had was pilchard and they wouldnt touch small pieces of that either, what bait do i need to catch them?

heya, whiting mainly feed on bottom dwelling invertabrae such as beach worms, yabbies and soldier crabs! Oh and you could try your luck with fresh peeled prawns :D

We catch plenty of big whiting fishing deeper water anywhere from 10-20ft using 2in motoroil gulp worms rigged on 2gm no4 squidgy jigheads
