Hey there raiders.

I am thinking of going for a weekend to the above place and I was hoping to get feedback as to how good the fishing is.

I would be able to try all sorts of things without my usual time restraint upon me as the family will be with and the said that I can go crazy.

She better hope I remember that they are with

Really excited to hopefully get some bragging rights for a change as my reputation of 0000000000000000

catches speak for themselves.

The lake was very quiet when we were there in Jan

The beach will have tailor and salmon for sure and the odd jew if that takes your inclination.

The park is great with really good amenities.

a mate of mine is braining the big tailor and salmon on the beaches down south at the moment.

The lake is very quiet down here mate. There are a few bream and whitting (apparantley) if you can get live prawns or squirt worms, but basicly no flatties.

I wouldn't be coming down here with high expectations of the lake at the momment, don't know what's going on on the beaches as I don't really fish off the beach.

If you're not in a rush to come down, or can come again in a few months, there's always blackies here during winter.

Thanks to all who have responded thus far.It seems as if I will be there in 3weeks time as it is a lot cheaper during offpeak periods.It is a spur of the moment decision so I was planning to do most of my fishing off the rocks and beach.I do not have any lake experience so that would most likely just have been a fish for fun event.I am not going with any major expectations so whatever happens happens.(FISH WOULD BE NICE THOUGH)If any raider wants to hook up with me for company feel free to contact me as fishing alone does work on your "sanity" at times.Anyway hope to get some more feedback.Will call tomorrow and book if they have room for the weekend of the 20th.Hoping to stay from Thursday evening till Sunday.
