G'Day all, just join up with the forum. Just wanted to know if anyone has been fishing up at Hawks Nest lately ???

Any info on some good fishing spots would be great....

hey cookieboy

was last up there about 1 month ago and fished there for bout 10 years Bennets beach fishs well in the evening for salmon on lure and bait right down south corner near the dunes and jewies just north of the gaurds tower

also jimmys is good for a flick for flathead and whiting

and along the wall for bream in tea gardens

I was there in the first two weeks of feb, we fished hard for not much. Lots of stingrays off the beaches, and there was a red weed which fouled our lines and made fishing hard. Blackfish seemed to be the most staple fish in the system although we did pick up a couple of nice bream and a big flatty in the river from the boat. The rock wall is a good spot.
